BIOHAZARD Tutorial Step 1 - DOWNLOAD--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Download Biohazard base and all the addons to whatever drive you will be using. Could be you C drive or any external hard drive. If you make the drive letter "D" and name the drive "LIGHTGUN" it will save some time with the TeknoParrot games (not manditory though). You can find the build and addons in the Lightgun Lunitics group. Just search my name and scroll down to find the link for each one. You can also get them from ArcadePunks.com. Here is the Link to the BIOHAZARD folder in Mega. https://mega.nz/folder/awk0Cb6Q#K0PGKplmCo3Dzu55KcWDfw Below is the link to download from ArcadePunks.com. Base (contains base and addons 1-4)- https://www.arcadepunks.com/fully-loaded-aimtrak-light-gun-build-for-pc-retrofe-biohazard/ Theme AddOn- https://www.arcadepunks.com/biohazard-zombie-theme-and-more-for-biohazard/ Step 2 - UNZIP------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I use 7zip, its free and works great. After you have all zip files downloaded in the drive you will be using, you are now ready to unzip them. Here is the link https://www.7-zip.org/download.html I would highly suggest setting an esclusion from Windows Defender on the drive or folder you are going to use. Sometimes it will delete or quarentine files neede to run the program. See links below for a quick how to. How to add Exclusions to Windows Defender for files, folders, and drives. For Windows 11: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMT8OgphuLc For Windows 10: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1r93NtwZt4o BIOHAZARD Base consists of "BIOHAZARD.zip.001 thru BIOHAZARD.zip.009. Put these in their own folder call BIOHAZARD. Right click on BIOHAZARD.zip.001 hover your mouse over 7zip (if Windows 11, may have to go to show more options first) and select Extract To "BIOHAZARD.zip.001/". This should extract all 9 zip files into 1 folder. This will be the Base or Root folder inside called RetroFE. This is where you extract the AddOns and start the build. Just double click on the BIOHAZARD Shortcut in that folder to start it. If it does not start, then you download the "Install on PC" zip which is in the BIOHAZARD folder in Mega. Unzip it, go into DirectX folder and double click the "dxwebsetup.exe". This will install DirectX on your PC. Then go into the vcredist folder and double click the "install_all.bat" file. After this is installed, try opening Biohazard again. Should be running now. There are read me files in the "1-Read Me-Current Issues" folder for base and each system. These files explain controls any game info you might need to know. Definately read these first. Its very simple and quick. After the Base is good, you can start adding the AddOns. They are in numerical order. Just right click hover over 7 zip and hover your mouse over 7zip and select Extract Files... A small menu will pop up. on the top right, there will be a box. Click it and navigate to the BIOHAZARD root folder "RetroFE" and click ok. Then click ok on the menu box. If a window pops up while extracting, and asks if you want to overwrite or replace, always select YES. This will automatically add the AddOn to the collection and its ready to play. Use the method above for all AddOns. The AddOns are in numerical order. Just add them in that order. Add the Theme AddOn at the end. Now you should be all cought up with the current AddOns. Step 3 - TeknoParrot Games------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You will have to set up all the TeknoParrot games indidually. These are very easy to do. If you have your drive letter set to "D" and named it "LIGHTGUN", you should not have to do these. If you dont, download the video "Biohazard-TeknoParrot-Mapping" from the BIOHAZARD Mega folder.
